POLICIES

It is my intention to provide you with a professional and therapeutic massage. The following policies and procedures serve as a guide for all massage clients of Ancient Elements Massage & Therapeutics.

To allow for a relaxed and unhurried experience, I ask that first time clients to arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your scheduled massage time. This provides time for us to meet and address any questions/concerns before your massage is scheduled to start. 

Established clients are asked to arrive 5 minutes prior to your scheduled start time.

Please provide at least a 24 hour notice if you need to reschedule or cancel a treatment. This gives me enough time to fill the slot. You will receive a reminder call / email / text two days prior to your scheduled appointment. 

If you cancel within 24 hours of your appointment, you will be charged 50% of the cost of the scheduled appointment. 

If you cancel within 2 hours of your scheduled appointment, or miss the appointment without giving notice, you will be charged the full amount of the scheduled appointment.

Late arrivals will not receive extension of scheduled appointments. In special cases, and when the schedule will allow, I may be able to accommodate a partial or full appointment. This will be at my discretion and only with proper, advanced notification of your late arrival. You will be charged the full cost of the originally scheduled massage.

If the child is younger than 18 years old, I do require a parent or guardian to sign a consent form prior to the treatment and be present during the treatment. 

 Your massage therapy records are kept in the strictest confidence. All client records are kept in a secure place and I am the only one who has access to them. Your records will not be released to third parties, including health care providers and insurance companies without your written consent. Records may be surrendered if required by law. 

Inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated. Suggestive comments, sexual innuendos or touching the massage therapist in an inappropriate way, will result in the immediate termination of the massage session and you will not be allowed to return for further massages. You will still be required to pay the full cost of the scheduled massage. 

Perfumes are not recommended prior to massage therapy as they can interfere with the lotions, creams or oils used for the massage treatment session. If you have an allergy to any lotion, cream, oil, etc., or if you require a special product, please let me know before your session. You are welcome to bring with you a preferred lotion, cream or oil.
